The JSL3 Facebook Wall Feed Plugin for WP

WordPress Plugins 3.09.12 Comments Off

The JSL3 Facebook Wall Feed plugin for WordPress displays posts from your Facebook wall via a widget or by adding shortcode to your post or page.

The shortcode below will display your Facebook wall feed in a post or page, and limits the number of wall posts displayed to “3″: [ jsl3_fwf limit="3" ]

Facebook Status

OAuthException: Error validating application. Application has been deleted.

The “limit” attribute can be removed to display a scrolling list: [ jsl3_fwf ]

With a few updates to the “out-of-the-box” stylesheet, it looks pretty good. I added a border (#facebook_status_box #facebook_canvas style) and bumped up the (#facebook_status_box .fb_post .fb_photo) margin so things weren’t running in to each other, and added the following to the bottom:

/* Format comments */
#facebook_status_box .fb_msg p.fb_story
{
font-size: 10px;
color: #999999;
}
#facebook_status_box .fb_post .fb_comments
{
background-color: #EDEFF4;
font-size: 11px;
border-bottom: 1px solid #e6e6fa;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 7px;
margin: 0;
}
#facebook_status_box .fb_post .fb_comments p
{
font-size: 11px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
float: left;
}
#facebook_status_box .fb_post .fb_comments a
{
color: #0A7A98;
text-decoration: none;
}
#facebook_status_box .fb_post .fp_photo_content
{
width: 85%
}

The plugin’s options link is found under Settings in your WP Dashboard.  From this page you can set up your app data (Facebook ID, App ID, App Secret, and App Token) and configure some display options for your site.
